The project is situated on a property that was acquired and renovated by Red Hook Capital Partners in 2022, with the assistance of Hiltz Commercial Group in identifying and negotiating the purchase. The mission of Cactus Park Elementary is to disrupt generational cycles of poverty by implementing a unique school model that encompasses social-emotional identity development, a robust civic engagement system, and a rigorous culturally relevant academic curriculum.

The property, formerly an indoor Flea Market, required special use permit approval through Clark County to accommodate the transformation into a thriving educational environment. The revitalization efforts have resulted in a state-of-the-art facility equipped with modern classrooms, recreational areas, and supportive spaces designed to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for the students. By integrating social-emotional identity development into the curriculum, Cactus Park Elementary seeks to nurture students' sense of self-worth, resilience, and empathy, ensuring they are equipped with essential life skills.
